RIYADH — The Ministry of Justice has started experimenting a mobile notary public service for the old, sick and disabled in Riyadh. The new service will be expanded to other parts of the Kingdom depending on the success its success in the experimental phase, according to sources in the ministry.

They said mobile offices would provide notary public services such as the attestation of the documents to the elderly and sick, people with special needs and inmates of social protection homes.

The sources said the notaries public would visit the eligible people in their homes, hospitals and places of abode to serve them.

They said the ministry has initiated the service in line with the objectives of the National Transformation Program.

They said the beneficiaries could request the service through smart phones and a date of the visit of would be fixed.

The sources said the ministry was coordinating with government hospitals, protection homes for women and facilities for the old to provide the service.

They said the ministry would deploy more than 200 officials to man the mobile offices in the next five years.
