Amman – As of the end of April, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed a total of 2,541,458 passengers during 2018, marking a noteworthy increase of 7.6% in year-to-date passenger (PAX) numbers in comparison to the same period last year. According to figures released by Airport International Group, QAIA also witnessed 22,938 aircraft movements (ACM), which marks a 0.7% decrease from last year, in addition to having handled 34,225 tons of cargo during the first four months of the year 2018, indicating an 8.6% increase.

Meanwhile, in the month of April, reflecting a 5.5% increase, the Airport registered 727,301 passengers as opposed to April 2017. Moreover, ACM totaled 6,329 movements, while cargo reached 9,534 tons, pointing to a 2.3% and an 8.1% growth respectively.
