Muscat: The issuance and renewal of the Omani passport for a temporary period will be restricted only for cases that require travel, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
"The Royal Oman Police would like to draw the attention of the public that the issuance and renewal of the Omani passport will be limited to a temporary period for cases that require travel. There will be a delay in the arrival of the new contracted passports due to the global effects of COVID-19," ROP said in a statement.
This notice came after news circulated on social media about the suspension of issuance and renewal of the Omani passport for all citizens.
