The Abu Dhabi Police on Tuesday announced that all traffic fines issued to motorists from December 22, 2019 until December 22, 2020 will be eligible for a 35 per cent discount.
The discount will be applicable if the fines are paid within 60 days.
According to an Arabic daily, the fine will have to be paid in full if not paid within 60 days.
The initiative also applies to payment of vehicle impoundment fees, provided they, too, are paid within 60 days.
The scheme will not be applicable to fines issued for dangerous offences.
