National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) continues to welcome fasting people at its Iftar tent located at Ras Al Salmiya, where the Bank has recently organized a special event in cooperation with Kuwait Airways, including the distribution of airline tickets.

This collaborative effort is part of "Do Good Deeds in Ramadan" program and in line with the strategic partnership between NBK and Kuwait Airways. A draw was held for guests to win 10 airline tickets. The event was attended by Mark Davies, Director Marketing at Kuwait Airways, and NBK Public Relations Team Leaders, Talal Al-Turki and Yaqoub Al-Baqer.

This initiative reflects the social and charitable commitment of both organizations, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, where fasting people will be given the opportunity to travel to see their loved ones," NBK Public Relations Team Leaders, Talal Al-Turki said.

Al-Turki highlighted the distinctive and deep partnership between NBK and Kuwait Airways, confirming that it is not limited  only to business affairs, but also extends to supporting humanitarian and charitable causes.

Al-Turki said that the Iftar tent is open every day throughout the holy month of Ramadan before Iftar time and provides Iftar meals for all fasting guests who visit the tent. Dedicated NBK employees have volunteered to supervise welcoming and serving the guests including the distribution of iftar meals inside the tent.

Al-Turki stressed that NBK Iftar tent is an integral part of the "Do Good Deeds In Ramadan” program, which also includes distributing meals to fasting people by visiting different locations, in addition to distributing Iftar meals at mosques and hospitals.

It is worth noting that NBK has introduced a new initiative at this year’s Iftar tent to reduce waste and encourage recycling in cooperation with Omnia Projects Management. By the end of the holy month, this initiative is expected to have recycled about 18,000 cardboard and plastic items.

For over 20 years, NBK has carried out the "Do Good Deeds in Ramadan" program, which includes many events, contributions, social welfare and voluntary activities. This initiative is in line with NBK’s keenness to reach out to various social institutions and all sectors of the society, maintaining its leading position as a dedicated private institution that is keeping true to its CSR values through translating them into valuable programs and initiatives that have substantive social dimension.
