The Human Resources Authority (HRA) of Abu Dhabi is collaborating with Emirates Global Aluminium to hire more Emirati youth, who have registered themselves with the HRA.

Emirates Global Aluminium is the world’s largest premium aluminium producer and the biggest non-oil and gas company in the UAE.

As per the collaboration, the HRA will nominate candidates to be a part of the EGA’s long-running National Training programme.

The scheme helps young Emiratis hone their technical skills and enable them to work in operational roles in the company’s smelters and power plants.

The EGA will sign permanent contracts with the Emiratis, who have enrolled for the one-year programme.

EGA has been running the National Training programme since 1982 and more than 5,000 Emiratis have benefitted from it.

At present, around 1,000 Emiratis work in the company.

Besides, one-third of the 1,800 employees in the company are Emiratis in supervisory roles.

EGA offers a wide range of courses and programmes that are designed to enable Emiratis to achieve their full potential through extensive training and development.
