Land owners in Oman have one week to prove ownership

Owners must appeal to the legal follow-up department at the Directorate

Muscat: Municipal authorities have given land owners in Seeb, a week’s time to bring documents proving ownership of land, or sign boards claiming that the land belongs to them will be removed.

Muscat Municipality in Al Seeb notified people that it was in the process of removing signs that claim ownership over sites in the Rusayl Heights area.

According to the authorities, “Owners must appeal to the legal follow-up department at the Directorate and should bring documents proving their ownership of these sites within a week.”
