Muscat: As part of their corporate social responsibility activities in Ramadan, Jotun Paints Oman staff and employees teamed up to support families in need throughout the month as well as provide donations to admitted children at the hospital during the Eid.

The initiative united members of the Jotun Paints Oman team with Al Rahma Charity Association to provide vouchers to 10 families for groceries one week before Ramadan in order to support the families throughout the holy month.

Jotun Paints Oman Human Resources & Administration Manager, Badar Al Maqdasy, discussed the initiative, saying, “Our CSR initiatives this Ramadan were a great opportunity for us, the Jotun penguins, to connect with the families by visiting them as a team and partnering with Al Rahma Charity Organizations to reach out to them, extend a helping hand during the holy month and contributing to their joy during this memorable time. We value sharing moments with families and creating memories with everyone.”

During Ramadan, the Jotun Paints Oman team also visited 50 children admitted at Royal Hospital to provide them with shopping vouchers to purchase new clothes for the Eid celebrations.

Al Maqdasy continued, “As part of the Eid tradition of celebrating the end of Ramadan and the new beginning of Eid, children and adults wear new clothes and brighten up their surroundings as part pf the festivities. We were excited to meet with the kids and support them with a renewed drive to be a part of Eid’s joyful spirit and enjoy it with their loved ones. Our job at Jotun Paints Oman is to bring new life to our surrounding, and it is with this spirit that we approach our corporate social responsibility programmes.”

The Ramadan CSR activities presented by Jotun Paints Oman staff are part of their larger CSR initiatives in 2019.  Earlier in March, 16 Jotun Paints Oman employees along with General Manager, Per Morten Aarvold, planted 90 China Rose trees at Al Ansab Park in an effort to initiate environmentally-friendly steps towards a cleaner and more colourful planet.
