ArabFinance: The first Air Cairo flight from Armenia arrived in Sharm el Sheikh Airport on September 17th, after a hiatus on flights due to the COVID-19 outbreak, according to an official statement.

Air Cairo’s trip carried 52 passengers on board, including a media delegation as well as Armenian tourist agents, the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority said on September 18th.

The low-cost carrier will operate three weekly flights between Armenia and Sharm el Sheikh, the statement noted.

In addition, European carrier Wizz Air’s first Milan-Alexandria flight landed in Borg el Arab Airport, with 180 travelers aboard.

Wizz Air is operating three weekly trips between Italy’s Milan and Alexandria on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, as reported last week.

Earlier this month, state-run EgyptAir and Air Cairo signed a codeshare agreement to expand their networks.
