Dubai, United Arab Emirates: HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of Dubai Land Department (DLD), inaugurated the Dubai Property Show - London. The opening ceremony of the third edition was attended by HE Rawdha Al Otaiba, Deputy Head of Mission, UAE Embassy in London; HE Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management Sector at DLD; Ali Rashid Ahmed Lootah, Chairman of Nakheel and Salem Almoosa, Chairman and General Manager, Falconcity of Wonders LLC; in addition to a number of CEOs and senior managers of participating real estate companies.

‎During the show, which will run for three days, a number of leading real estate companies from Dubai, including Nakheel, Falcon City of Wonders, and Sobha, will display a spectrum of real estate projects with the aim to meet the various needs of real estate investors in the UK.

HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren said: “We chose the British capital of London to organise this important event, based on many facts, most prominent of which is the strong relations between the UAE and the UK, and the attractiveness of Dubai’s real estate for UK investors; British citizens ranked top among the list of nationalities investing in Dubai’s real estate market. We are delighted to communicate with UK investors directly to showcase the countless options our city can offer them.”

The interest of British investors in Dubai's real estate market is attributed to the unique features enjoyed by the Emirate as one of the best investment and tourism destinations in the world.

HE Majida Ali Rashid commented: “We are delighted to have major real estate developers, as well as real estate brokers, banks, and law firms, offer a full range of services to investors and respond directly to their enquiries. Working according to this perspective underscores our confidence in the unique characteristics of Dubai when compared to other real estate investment destinations around the world. We expect this show to continue the success of the previous two editions, helping us support the sector and contribute to the Emirate's sustained economic growth."

Ali Rashid added: “During the show, the dynamic real estate sector and the variety of options it offers to the spectrum of investors and homebuyers will be highlighted. The show seeks to annually prove its position as an ideal platform for investors who wish to see and purchase fantastic property developments in Dubai.”

Salem Almoosa said: “From the impeccable infrastructure to the warm and welcoming Arabic hospitality, Dubai is a preferred destination among tourists, businessmen, entrepreneurs, and investors. As a booming economy, tourism has played a pivotal role in putting the Emirate on the world map. Dubai has attracted investments from around the world and across a vast array of sectors such as technology, education, medicine, and real estate and is ranked as one of the best places to live in the Middle East, promising an excellent quality of life.”

Aqil Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer at Nakheel, said: “After first exhibiting at Dubai Property Show - London in 2016, we are proud to participate as platinum sponsors with an exciting range of projects and investment opportunities, many of which bundled with attractive payment plans.  Our diverse range of offerings includes luxury apartments on the world-famous Palm Jumeirah, stylish high-rise units at Dragon City, and villas with private pools at the high-end Jumeirah Park community.”

PNC Menon, Founder & Chairman of Sobha Group said, “Dubai is one of the most popular destinations for UK nationals, not just for vacationing and shopping, but for the overall aspirational lifestyle it offers. Over the years, Dubai has emerged as a strong business hub, offering various investment incentives that form a formidable part of the workface. These factors make it easy to understand why investors from the UK are flocking to Dubai to invest in property. With foreign real estate investments to the tune of AED 162 billion in the first nine months of 2018 coming in from foreign investments, the Dubai property market continues to be the preferred investment destination for various nationalities.”

The show will achieve a continued success due to the support from platinum partners and sponsors, including Nakheel Properties, Falconcity of Wonders, and Sobha Realty, as well as the gracious partnerships of the UAE Embassy, Dubai Chamber, Dubai Tourism, Dubai Police, and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (government agency partners); Emirates (official airline partner); JLL - Jones Lang LaSalle (strategic real estate partner); Medallion Associates (international promotion trustee); Knight Frank (knowledge partner); International Property and Travel (media partner) and Emirates Islamic Bank (banking partner); and the support of the International Property Awards Dubai.
