UAE, Dubai - The Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program (ALP), a first-of-its-kind program that empowers talented young individuals with essential leadership qualities, concluded the fifth session titled ‘My Organization – Dubai’ at Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai. Sponsored by DAMAC Properties, the session was held from February 5th to the 9th focusing on organisational behaviour, protocol and etiquette vital for the participants’ careers.

The majority of the workshops and activities, which are in line with UAE Vision 2021 to make the UAE the best among countries in the world, focus on the concept and importance of etiquette to provide strong first impressions as well as how etiquette is directly related to the Arab culture. They specifically demonstrate proper table etiquette for official meetings, work-related visits, appropriate behaviour between colleagues and relationship boundaries. In addition, etiquette-focused presentations cover appropriate conduct for emailing, phone calls, dress codes, handshakes, speaking and listening. The workshops also provide specific tactics for improving oneself and building a strong self-esteem, demonstrating the importance of punctuality, goal-setting, and taking responsibility for mistakes.

Shaikha Ali Al Nuaimi, Corporate Communication Manager, Abdul Aziz Bin Humaid Foundation said: “I would like to thank DAMAC Properties for their sponsorship and support. In addition, I would like to thank Habtoor Grand Resort, Dubai for hosting this session. The importance of organisation behaviour, protocol and etiquette cannot be understated. In an increasingly complex world with numerous factors that need to be balanced, organisational skills are crucial for success. Furthermore, young individuals that practice good manners on a daily basis will be important assets to any organisation. They will effortlessly forge networks with people from a diverse range of cultures and traditions without.”

Hussain Sajwani, Chairman, DAMAC Properties, visited the participants and shared insights from his business success story. During the session, Sajwani commented: “I am delighted to share my experience with talented, passionate, young individuals from across the region. The hard work, dedication and effort you have put into this programme during these early and difficult stages of your development is crucial for long-term success.” The audience response to a visit from DAMAC’s Chairman was incredibly positive as they view Hussain Sajwani as a tangible proof of success.

The session started on Sunday 5th of February 2017 with a keynote speech from Fatima Al Muhairi, Chairwoman of Dubai Quality Group, followed by the organisational behaviour workshop.
