The Sharjah Police have arrested a person who made offensive comments in a video against the UAE's nationwide sterilisation drive to battle the Covid-19 coronavirus.
He asked people to ignore the restrictions and also mocked the residents living in the area as the sterilisation drive took place in his Sharjah community.
Sharjah Police warned that it will take legal action against anyone who publishes offensive materials or comments through social media or any other means, as well as anyone who flouts the restrictions that have been put in place for the benefit of the community.
