Muscat: The bustling Mutrah Market in Muscat now wears a deserted look as visitors have stopped due to the decision to close down the market, taken by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19.
A statement issued by Muscat Municipality said, "In response to the closure of Mutrah Market, it has no visitors and there is constant follow-up by the Muscat Municipality to ensure the shutdown.”
“This comes in compliance with the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19,” the statement added.
