More than 200 chief audit executives will attend the conference to be held under the theme ‘Technology Redefines IA’

Dubai: The UAE Internal Auditors Association (IAA UAE) will hold the 8th Chief Audit Executive Conference (CAE) under the patronage of H.E. Engineer Sultan Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy.

The Conference to be held under the theme “Technology Redefines Internal Audit” at Rixos Premium JBR, Dubai, UAE, on November 20 and 21, 2019, is an innovative and fully interactive conference, allowing more than 200 Chief Audit Executives and Senior Audit Executives the ability to create a continuous learning and networking opportunity.

The Conference will add value to the UAE’s reputation as a centre of global best practices and good governance as envisioned by our leadership. The patronage of HE Sultan Al Mansouri signifies the importance a global conference being held in Dubai.  Internal audit professionals will have the opportunity to share and discuss innovative ideas and concepts with recognized thought leaders, speakers, and practitioners,” said UAE IAA Chairman Abdulqader Obaid Ali.

“With technology playing an important part in the needs of the business and reliance on it growing by the day, it is imperative that auditors lay significant emphasis on understanding how it is defining Internal Audit,” he added.

UAE IAA, a non-profit organization, was set up in 1995 along the lines of its parent body, the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Global) which has 200,000 members from more than 190 countries and organizations. The UAE accounts for about 45% of the total number of internal auditors working in the region, estimated at about 7,000 auditors, of which 22% are Emiratis.

Jenitha John, Senior Vice Chairman, The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. will deliver the keynote speech titled “Adroit Auditing in a Transforming World”. The other keynote speakers are: Professor Dr. Pierre Brunswick, CEO, Neuromem Technologies Pte Ltd, Alaa ElShimy, Managing Director & Vice President, Enterprise Business, Middle East, Huawei, Graham Moore, Professional Speaker specialized in transformational leadership, emotional intelligence, Tariq Qureishy, International Professional Speaker, MAD Talks.

Major topics to be discussed are “AI: Myths and Reality”, “Cybersecurity challenges of IOT”, “Next Gen Audit – are Auditors Ready for the change?”, “Artificial Intelligence in control framework and continuous monitoring using Machine Learning”. There will, also, be a session on “Auditing ethics and compliance programs.”

With this CAE Conference, internal audit professionals can embark on an educational journey rich with insights.
