KUWAIT CITY: Charge d’Affaires at the Lebanese Embassy in Kuwait Dr Jan Makroun confirmed that more than 800 Lebanese expressed their wish to return home, so the embassy arranged five Middle East Airlines flights for this purpose, says Al-Seyassah.

In a statement to the daily, Makroun disclosed these flights are scheduled for May 15, 17, 19, 21, and 23 in coordination with the concerned authorities in Lebanon and Kuwait, and in line with the curfew imposed in both countries. He also expressed appreciation for the preventive measures taken by Kuwait to guarantee the safety of all passengers.

Meanwhile, Director of Middle East Airlines in Kuwait Marwan Abdul Baki revealed the total number of passengers on these five flights reached 600, indicating the economy ticket to Lebanon costs KD 205 and KD 408 for first class. He added the ticket payment is through credit cards
