1,047 new COVID-19 cases registered in Bahrain on Sunday

Bahrain yesterday registered 1,047 new Covid-19 cases alongside 852 recoveries and five fatalities.

Three Bahraini men, aged 93, 86 and 70, and two Bahraini women, aged 76 and 52, died yesterday, taking the total deaths to 536.

Of the new cases, 331 were expat workers, 690 contacts of active cases and 26 travel-related.

An additional 852 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 138,407.

Of the 9,874 active cases, 157 are receiving treatment and 69 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 148,817 cases.

The kingdom has conducted 3,651,647 tests.
