Abu Dhabi Ports announced on Tuesday that ZonesCorp, part of its Industrial Cities & Free Zone Cluster, has completed 69 percent of the commercial and retail area of Rahayel Automotive and Mobility City, according to an ADP press statement.
The statement said ZonesCorp handed over 1.38 million square metres (sqm) of commercial and retail areas at Rahayel City with the remaining 620,000 sqm set for completion by June 2022.
In March 2017, a ZonesCorp statement said Phase 1 infrastructure of Rahayel City represents an investment of approximately 1.6 billion UAE dirhams.
Rahayel Automotive and Mobility is being developed an integrated hub for the automotive industry, and includes showrooms, service centres and workshops, auction houses, sector-based regulatory and governing bodies, a vehicle test track, an inspection facility, and an auto training centre, the Port statement said.
The entire city is set to be completed by June 2022, the statement said.
