Dubai: Mobile and IoT solutions provider, Workz Group today announced a strategic corporate restructuring to strengthen its focus on the telecoms market and improve the group’s growth and profitability. The company has appointed Tor Malmros as the group’s CEO. The move sees the company headquarters relocated from Dublin to Dubai. Its European entities in Turkey, Bosnia, and Germany will cease to be part of the company. Workz will continue with its remaining global operations in the UAE, UK, USA, Hong Kong, Senegal and South Africa.

The company has been recognised as one of the leading providers in IoT security and eSIM technology. It is one of only six complete eSIM providers fully certified by the GSMA. Workz is also one of the world’s top 10 biggest SIM card producers and the largest manufacturer of recharge cards.

Tor Malmros is a co-founder of Workz and has been with the company since 1998 having previously served in various functions including CFO and co-CEO. He has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry for Nokia, Millicom, Mobifone, and Brightpoint.

Brad Taylor, director and co-founder commented, "In a fast-growing IoT sector, it is critical we stay agile and are able to adapt to market developments. We see these strategic changes as an important step in our evolution from a telecoms manufacturer to a mobile solutions provider. We believe that the focus on our core competencies will, ultimately, offer the greatest value to our clients and their digitalisation initiatives. Looking forward, we now feel we are in the best position to continue to grow globally and develop market-leading products and services."
