UAE - Declaring 2019 as the ‘Year of Tolerance’ is a continuation of the legacy started by the UAE’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Sheikh Zayed believed in the undeniable power of tolerance, love, peace, openness, and peaceful co-existence in building a civilized state with strong foundations. As a result of promoting these values in the country, the UAE is now home to more than 200 nationalities who are co-existing harmoniously with respect and equality.

‘Year of Tolerance’ will follow the ‘Year of Zayed.’ With the declaration, 2019 will be the period to celebrate the values of an exceptional leader who believes that tolerance is a key towards creating a decent and dignified society capable of building a better future for the next generations. Under the guidance of our wise leadership, our country will remain to be at the forefront of encouraging peaceful dialogues among peoples of different nations with diverse cultures and traditions. The UAE will be the global beacon of tolerance, giving, and peace.

We at DED-Ajman are committed to supporting all national initiatives aimed at promoting cultural, religious, and social tolerance in the country. We will continue to live up to the vision of our founding father as we strive to make the UAE a global leader and model for other nations to follow.
