Abu Dhabi: Morocco in Abu Dhabi 2019 has welcomed more than 4,000 visitors in the first three days of its opening at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC). The event, which is an opportunity to further strengthen the deep-rooted relationship between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Morocco, entertains its fans with live activities in art, music, traditional handicrafts, culinary arts and fashion, reflecting the rich and original Moroccan heritage.
Morocco in Abu Dhabi sustains cultural communication between the UAE and Morocco, and offers a platform for traditional workmanship, as one of the components of the creative Moroccan personality throughout the generations.
A walkthrough of the halls and display areas of the event will surely enchant visitors with a spirit of beauty and elegance, and the essence of the past in a unique atmosphere which is a mixture of Andalusian, Islamic, Arab and Amazigh eras. There is happiness and joy on everyone’s faces as they feast their eyes on the charm and brilliance of exquisite exhibits, rare antiques, and traditional and attractive handcrafts that are the product of amazing skills and creativity through generations.
Moroccan music entertained visitors with traditional and Andalusian rhythms, and dance performances, to show the richness and vitality of Moroccan culture. Gourmet aficionados visiting the event indulged in a refined blend of flavors and culinary conceptions, enjoying cuisines from skilled chefs that confirmed the lavish reputation of Moroccan cooking.
Many visitors expressed their enthusiasm for being at such an event. Gita, a professional photographer from Morocco, said she was very happy and proud of the heritage of her ancestors, which Moroccans consider an integral part of their lives.
Ahmed, an Egyptian resident who is visiting the event for the second year running, believes that Morocco in Abu Dhabi is a key event and a means of communication with Moroccan heritage, finding beauty in every piece inside the exhibition. “The event is well organized and attractive in terms of decor and pavilions,” he added.
Emirati citizen, Sultan, commented that the UAE’s special relationship with the Kingdom of Morocco was strongly established by the late founding leader, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He noted that Emirati people are loyal to these original principles, as they visit a place of love and peace like this event. Manhal, a Syrian resident in Abu Dhabi, was delighted with the elegant and creative designs and wonderful atmosphere.
Morocco in Abu Dhabi 2019 will run until 30th April at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). This year’s edition is filled with a friendly enchanting, welcoming heritage environment, enriching visitors’ imagination and memories with its diverse cultural, artistic and historical activities and antique collections.
