Dubai, UAE: Global Village, the UAE and wider region’s leading multicultural family destination, invites entrepreneurs and investors across the country to be part of the upcoming Season 25 and Silver Anniversary celebrations. During the previous 24 seasons, Global Village has become known for pushing the boundaries in family entertainment by bringing the world to Dubai. Perhaps lesser known by the millions of visitors is that Global Village is also a platform for commercial success and an incubator for new ideas, having supported SMEs and the wider business community in bringing new and exciting ideas to life.

The onsite business setup team are available to provide advice and practical tips in order to convert business dreams into a reality. The popular attraction has been a mainstay of the tourist trail in Dubai for many years now, offering strong footfall alongside brand development support to new and growing businesses. New developments and headline international partnerships such as Season 24’s immensely popular Ripley’s Believe It or Not! keep visitors coming back year after year, month after month, allowing the commercial ecosystem to thrive.

Khadija Khalifa, Senior Director Commercial, Global Village, said: "The essential support we provide through our legacy, ongoing assistance, or straightforward business setup opportunities, ripples outwards to help drive the UAE economy and deliver success and inspiration to our customers, employees, partners, and communities. Global Village is a destination that has always welcomed creative and innovative business ideas, and we are committed to providing the support they require to launch through our business development programs – all of which are low-risk for aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs. Contributing to the business sector is the best way we can support the country post-COVID-19. We hope to play a big part in boosting our economy, enhancing the SME ecosystem, and empowering people to make an impact in the profession they love."

Prospective business minds can take advantage of pavilions, kiosks, restaurants,  retail stores, guest services, or entertainment outlets, where the majority of businesses over the past seasons have enjoyed over 100% returns on investment, enabling them to expand operations around the park, country and in some cases even the world as a result of starting out at Global Village.

One such acorn planted over a decade ago by Adnan Shabbir has now become an oak tree. Inspired by his love and affection for the park and a quick-witted business mind, Adnan saw huge potential in popcorn and took advantage by signing an agreement to manage all the popcorn stalls across the park. Over the years he has kept our visitors happy by adding a more diversified range of snacks and opened even more kiosks, also expanding his innovative “Spiral Potato” concept around the UAE.

Another example of Global Village-powered commercial success might be the story of Ahmad Milhim and Zoulfikar Hawari. This entrepreneurial duo started out with a humble kiosk six years ago and have since dominated with unique food concepts such as “Wheel Pasta”, “Steak on Fries” and pizza by the metre at “Super XL Pizza”. Their empire has grown to the point now where they employ over 80 people to keep feeding Global Village guests.

The perfect environment to bring unique ideas to life, Global Village has helped many businesses flourish over the years and will continue to do so in Season 25. Since accepting new registrations, preliminary readings show the park has received more applications when compared to the same time last year, illustrating the trust that partners have in Dubai’s economy post-COVID-19. Registration is still open for new business ideas and proposals and the park is looking forward to helping even more SMEs kickstart their success stories.
