The University of Birmingham Dubai has held the first of its CPD workshops for education leaders. The course on ‘Leading Change in UAE Schools: A Business Model Approach’ was led the Provost of the University of Birmingham Dubai, Professor Glyn Watson, and focussed on change management strategy in an educational context.

The next CPD workshop is planned on ‘How to be an effective SENCo: The Context for Inclusive Education’ for Tuesday 5th November with Director of Education Programmes, Dr Anne Raynor and PGCert ISEN Programme Lead, Sarah Benson.

The final course in the series for 2019 will be run on Tuesday 12th November in ‘Coaching in Education: An Effective Approach to Improve Performance, Enhance Capability and Maximise Potential’. This session will be taken by Sanam Yaqub, Executive Coach and Mentor, as well as School Partnership Strategies Manager, at the university.

The workshops, held at the university’s Academic City campus, are aimed at education leaders and teachers looking to develop their skills sets for the classrooms of the future. Each course is professionally recognised and offers 10 CPD credits.
