DUBAI- Angola's state oil company Sonangol said on Thursday its output from the Qaiyarah oilfield in North Iraq has reached 40,000 barrels per day.

Sonangol owns a 75 percent stake in the Najmah and Qayyarah oilfields, located south of the city of Mosul. The fields have estimated oil reserves of more than 1 billion barrels.

Sonangol said it aims to lift production levels at the fields to about 230,000 bpd.
