Muscat: Over 500 people with Covid-19 have been admitted to the Royal Hospital ICU since the start of the pandemic, and the death rate has reached 30 per cent.

Dr Huda Al Khalili, The head of COVID-19 ICU Department at Royal Hospital said: "Since the beginning of the pandemic 515 COVID-19 patients have been admitted to ICU at Royal hospital with 30 per cent deaths recorded among them."

Royal hospital officials confirmed to Oman TV that no case was recorded for a previous patient contracting Covid-19 again, but in some cases patients may have complications after recovery, such as a weak respiratory system, lung damage, continuous fatigue, strokes and mental confusion.
