InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a management agreement with Jindal Holidays Private Limited for a new Holiday Inn Resort in Corbett, Ramnagar, a forested wildlife sanctuary in northern India’s Uttarakhand state.

The hotel will feature 100 keys and is expected to be operational by Q1 2023. The development marks the debut of Holiday Inn Resort brand in the oldest national park in India, which attracts a significant number of visitors, annually.

As a part of the growth plans, IHG has gained noteworthy momentum in India in last couple of years, with opening and signing of multiple hotels across brands, at various leisure and business destinations, positioning the company as one of the leading hospitality players in the country.

 

As a premier destination in north India for wildlife experiences, Corbett National Park is estimated to have one of the highest tiger population in the country, making it a popular tourist destination during the holidays and other peak seasons. Due to its proximity to major cities such as Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Chandigarh etc., Corbett is also increasingly become a preferred destination for Mice and wedding events. Adding convenience to both leisure and corporate travelers, the new Holiday Inn Resort will be located at a 20 minutes’ drive from the nearest railway station in Ramnagar town and at a convenient distance from Pantnagar airport.

On opening, Holiday Inn Resort Corbett Ramnagar will feature well-designed rooms and will offer an array of facilities including an all-day dining and a specialty restaurant, a bar & lounge, an outdoor pool and a gym. Additionally, the hotel will feature a business centre, boardrooms and an outdoor lawn with a capacity to accommodate around 500 guests. The guest experience will be enhanced with the signature Holiday Inn hospitality, which will reflect the brand’s promise of offering a comfortable stay to guests.
