406 new Covid-19 cases registered in Bahrain on Wednesday

MANAMA: Bahrain yesterday recorded 406 new cases of Covid-19, alongside 319 recoveries and two fatalities.

Two Bahraini men, aged 64 and 57, died from the coronavirus yesterday, which takes the death toll to 49.

The Health Ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 406 new cases, 216 were expatriate workers, 189 were contacts of local cases, and one was travel-related.

It said that an additional 319 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 14,185.

The ministry added that of the 5,727 active cases, 131 are receiving treatment and 27 are in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 19,961 cases including active cases, recoveries and deaths.

The kingdom has also conducted 445,669 tests for Covid-19.
