Bahrain yesterday recorded 289 new cases of Covid-19, alongside 379 recoveries and one fatality.

An expat man, aged 63, died from the coronavirus yesterday, which takes the death toll to 137.

The Health Ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 289 new cases, 151 were expatriate workers and 138 contacts of local cases.

It said that an additional 379 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 35,205.

The ministry added that of the 3,405 active cases, 74 are receiving treatment and 51 are in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 38,747 cases including active cases, recoveries and deaths.

The kingdom has also conducted 780,081 tests for Covid-19.
