1,008 new COVID-19 cases registered in Bahrain on Wednesday

Bahrain yesterday registered 1,008 new Covid-19 cases alongside 1,057 recoveries and two fatalities.

Two Bahraini women, aged 86 and 33, died yesterday, taking the total number of deaths to 607.

Of the new cases, 407 were expat workers, 571 contacts of active cases and 30 travel-related.

An additional 1,057 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 155,768.

Of the 10,790 active cases, 158 are receiving treatment and 96 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 167,165 cases.

The kingdom has conducted 3,949,992 tests.
