The lack of paparazzi in Dubai has been a boon for US actress Lindsay Lohan, who is currently enjoying life in the emirate, where she found she is calmer than she was when she lived in America and London.

Lohan is currently visiting New York to spend the festive season with her family and explained in her interviews there how the change of address has helped her.

“I love living in New York, but I do love the serenity and peace that I find living in the Middle East because there are no cameras in Dubai and I can actually focus on what I want to do in life,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t always have to be scrutinized every second. I can have a private life and have a public life, but when I choose to. And I think that’s really important.”

“There’s a calmness, there’s a stillness that I didn’t have in the past,” she added.

The 31-year-old actress told DailyMailTV: “I’m good, I’m really happy, I’m in a really good place. I love life!”

The “Mean Girls” star also revealed she will be traveling to Yemen soon to give people more “hope.”

“Those people need more hope; I want to help. I really want to give back,” Lohan said on the TV show.

Lohan sparked rumors in the past that she had embraced Islam after she was photographed carrying a copy of the Qur’an in 2015, was seen wearing a headscarf in Turkey and then deleted her Instagram pictures earlier this year.
