KUWAIT CITY: Everyone has been eagerly waiting for a decision from the Council of Ministers to lift a ban imposed on 34 countries as Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways have announced that they are fully ready to handle the situation and restart the flights.

The Civil Aviation Administration held a meeting with the heads of the two boards of directors of Kuwait Airways, Ali Muhammad Al-Dukhan, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Jazeera Airways Company, Marwan Bodia, on Saturday in the presence of the Minister of State for Services Affairs and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Mubarak Al-Haris, and he witnessed coordination and harmony at all levels.

The sources indicated that they are waiting for the decision from the Ministry of Health to announce that the medical, nursing and preventive staff are fully prepared to carry out examination and follow-up procedures for the workers estimated in the thousands.

The chalets are ready for domestic workers to be quarantined after they arrive, for not more than 30 KD per day which includes three meals for a period of 14 days which will be reduced to 7 days if found negative.

In response to a question by al anba daily about the prices of airline tickets for banned 34 countries, the sources said that the government is keen not to burden the citizen with any additional burdens and is working to provide their needs and meet their demands in accordance with a fair system that is balanced with the existing cost that covers the expenses of companies without any increase. The prices may be the same as the usual prices or with a slight increase depending on the type of class booked.

The sources said that the cost of returning the domestic worker includes the price of the ticket, the cost of staying in institutional quarantine, PCR tes. Domestic workers are exempted from PCR test fees based on a current decision which are exempted category from health service fees.
