Automatic and free extension of visit visas will stop from January 22, the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) has announced.

It said fees will be levied from that day after the end of a grace period put in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The grace period started on April 21 last year in implementation of the Government Executive Committee’s decision which took into account the situation of visitors following the suspension of flights as a result of the pandemic.

Visitors can apply to extend their visas through www.bahrain.bh or visiting any services centres at the Muharraq Security Complex, Isa Town Office near Southern Governorate Police after booking appointments via Skiplino app, it said.
