Two Asian men have been charged with illegally possessing gas cylinders bearing fake logos.

The duo, an Asian salesmen and a driver, were referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution for trying to sell 35 gas cylinders bearing the Emirates Gas Company label.

They were also charged with unlicensed transfer of flammable materials, reports Al Khaleej.

The duo were apprehended with two trucks - one equipped for gas cylinder transfers, and the other for storing as well as transporting frozen foods - at a gas cylinder warehouse.

An Emirates Gas inspector unearthed the offence during a routine inspection of the warehouse, while gas cylinders were being transferred.

The inspector got suspicious after spotting the truck meant to transport frozen food.

Police arrived at the site and arrested the duo after finding gas cylinders with counterfeit logos.
