RIYADH Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Mansour Al-Mushaiti held talks with Chile’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Economic Relations Yanez and his accompanying delegation.

They discussed strengthening economic partnership and Saudi agricultural investment abroad. The visiting minister invited the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) and Saudi investors to explore investment opportunities in Chile.

During the meeting, Al-Mushaiti affirmed the strength of economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Chile, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The two sides also reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation, advantages and investment opportunities in the Republic of Chile and its most prominent agricultural products.

The Saudi side welcomed the Chilean side's desire to increase the percentage of its products in the Saudi market and benefit from the Saudi desalination sector's successful experiences.
