Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has transported 16 tonnes of aid from the government of the UAE to Lebanon.

The aid was flown in by an Etihad Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner on August 6, following an explosion at Beirut’s port earlier this week.

In recent months, the UAE aid programme supported by Etihad Airways, has also assisted more than 1 million medical workers worldwide by supplying personal protective equipment (PPE), medical and food aid in support of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. - TradeArabia News Service
