The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Dubai declined by 3.41 percent in October compared to the same period last year, according to the latest statistics by the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC).

CPI is an important economic indicator measuring changes in prices over time paid by Dubai households for a fixed basket of goods and services.

Prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel decreased by 6.96 percent in the emirate compared to the same period in 2019.

While transportation prices decreased by 6.29 percent in Dubai in October,  the prices of entertainment and culture went south by 12.22 percent.

However, the price of foods and beverages increased by 1.90 percent and the cost of education rose by 0.55 percent in October compared to the same period in 2019.

Restaurant and hotel prices as well as telecom prices went up by 0.72 percent and 0.31 percent, respectively.
