Amman - President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Senator Issa Haidar Murad said that Saudi Arabia is one of Jordan's main trade partner, noting that the volume of trade between the two countries stood at $5 billion in 2016 .

In a press statement on Saturday on the occasion of the visit of the Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud to Jordan this week, Murad said that Saudi Arabia is Jordan's third major trade partner after the United States and Iraq. He said Jordan imports most of its needs of oil from Saudi Arabia, noting that medicine, air conditions and foodstuffs top Jordan's exports to the neighboring country.

The ACC president said that the volume of Saudi investments that have benefited from the Investment Promotion Law since its approval in 1995 and until 2016, reached $3 billion, accounting for 54 percent of the investments of GCC states in Jordan.
