Egypt - Vodafone Egypt has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to help entrepreneurs, startups, and freelancers find work opportunities and source talents online through Begin platform and Microsoft initiative Tawar w Ghayar, according to a press release.

Begin platform will act as a link between entrepreneurs and SMEs owners to find work and source talent in the Egyptian labor market.

This platform will offer job opportunities for youth and establish collaboration between business owners, freelancers, and independent professionals.

The MoU aims at providing freelance opportunities for recent graduates, university students, unemployed citizens, women, and people with Disabilities, as well as allowing youth to develop their skills and talents using the necessary digital skills, the release added.

Meanwhile, Microsoft’s Tawar w Ghayar initiative, launched in 2013, targets building strategic partnerships in Egypt to empower youth with digital skills to boost their employability.

furthermore, Vodafone Egypt is partnering up with Microsoft to market Begin platform as a main element of the Microsoft initiative for freelance work, which includes marketing materials, media coverage, promotional activities, and granting Microsoft Community certificates after completing the freelance work contract with Vodafone.
