UAE – The number of passengers at Sharjah International Airport increased by 36% year-on-year (YoY) to 1.5 million by the end of January 2020, compared to 1.1 million during the year-ago period.
The volume of cargos handled at Sharjah Airport registered 7,355 tonnes in January, up 5% from 6,998 tonnes in January 2019, according to the airport’s statistics.
The increase in the number of travellers at Sharjah Airport is attributed to holidays, festive seasons, and operating new terminals.
