BAGHDAD - Iraq's Dhi Qar Oil Company has signed an agreement with the Iraqi Drilling Company to drill 20 new wells in the Naseriya oil field, the oil ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The new wells will add 40,000 barrels per day (bpd) to the field's current production of crude oil and 20 million cubic feet of byproduct gas to be used in electricity generation, the ministry said.
