PARIS, Oct 14 (Reuters) - A French court has rejected a request by Lagardere's two biggest stakeholders, Vivendi and activist fund Amber Capital, for the Paris Match publisher to hold an early shareholder meeting, Amber's lawyer said on Wednesday.

The court's decision is a win for Arnaud Lagardere because it pushes back the risk of an immediate governance reshuffle at the company he has led since the death of this father in 2003.

"Our request was rejected," Amber's lawyer Diane Lamarche told Reuters shortly after she heard the court decision.
