Boeing Saudi head expands role as company strengthens partnerships with local firms

RIYADH — Boeing Saudi Arabia President Ahmed Jazzar will expand his leadership responsibilities for International Government & Defense programs to include management of all the Boeing Defense business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Under this expansion of leadership, Jazzar will manage the sustainment and execution of ongoing defense contracts with the Saudi Arabian government, focusing on Saudi Vision 2030, including localizing defense industries that will help stimulate industrial sectors.

Jazzar has served as President of Boeing Saudi Arabia since July 2005. He is responsible for all Boeing business operations in Saudi Arabia, including leading government affairs, developing and implementing the Boeing Saudi Arabia strategy, maturing Boeing industrial partnerships, growing Boeing’s presence and implementing corporate citizenship projects.

Ahmed serves as Chairman of the Boeing Industrial Technology Group. He is a member of the board of trustees of Alfaisal University, member of the board of directors of Alsalam Aerospace Industries, and a board member of the Saudi Rotorcraft Support Company.

Jazzar holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin –Madison and a graduate of the Senior Executive program of Columbia University Graduate School of Business in New York. — SG
