Greece's jobless rate stood at 9.6% in October, down from an upwardly revised 10.3% in September, data from statistics service ELSTAT showed on Thursday.

Seasonally adjusted data showed 453,783 people were officially unemployed.

Unemployment impacted women more than men, at the rates of 12.1% and 7.6%, respectively.

The jobless rate for young people aged 15 to 24 years dropped to 23.7% in October from 28.2% in the same month in 2022, ELSTAT said. (Reporting by Antonis Pothitos in Gdansk)
