Greece's jobless rate stood at 9.2% in December, down from 9.4% in November, data from statistics service ELSTAT showed on Thursday.

Seasonally adjusted data showed 430,088 people were officially unemployed.

Unemployment impacted women more than men, at the rates of 11.7% and 7.1%, respectively.

The jobless rate for young people aged 15 to 24 years dropped to 22.3% in December from 30.4% in the same month in 2022, ELSTAT said. (Reporting by Antonis Triantafyllou in Gdansk)
