Greece's jobless rate stood at 10.0% in September, down from a downwardly revised 10.6% in August, data from statistics service ELSTAT showed on Friday.

Seasonally adjusted data showed 467,804 people were officially unemployed.

Unemployment impacted women more than men, at the rates of 12.4% and 8.0%, respectively.

The jobless rate for young people aged 15 to 24 years dropped to 19.4% in September from 34.2% in the same month in 2022, ELSTAT said. (Reporting by Antonis Pothitos in Gdansk)
