Profit after taxation jumped to 2.7 billion euros ($2.9 billion) in 2023

British Airways parent group IAG announced Thursday that net profit surged six-fold last year, boosted by "strong" holiday demand as the recovery from Covid continued.
Profit after taxation jumped to 2.7 billion euros ($2.9 billion) in 2023 from 431 million euros in 2022, IAG said in a results statement, adding that it recovered capacity close to pre-pandemic levels in most core markets.
