AMMAN — The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has signed seven memoranda of understanding since the beginning of the year to place Jordan on the regional and global mining map.
Minister Saleh Kharabsheh on Wednesday emphasised that the mining sector is able to support the economy, generate jobs and serve sustainable development, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
According to the agreements, global and regional companies are expected to submit economic feasibility studies to the ministry to utilise raw materials, including gold, lithium and copper.
