KUWAIT, Sept 16 (KUNA) -- The new Farwaniya Hospital, which has more than 950 beds, will be operational beginning of 2022, Kuwait Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said Thursday, and underlined the health sector would witness "a huge development." His Highness the Prime Minister, in a statement to KUNA and Kuwait TV during a visit to the new Farwaniya Hospital, said the new facility would have 31 operation theaters and a 156-clinic dental center.
"There is no doubt that the health sector is witnessing a huge modernization at the level of medical facilities, specially following the opening of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital with around 1,200 beds and the medical city in Jahra which was commissioned two months ago with a capacity of 1,234 beds," he said.
These facilities, he added, "create comfortable environment for the staff" and the state was investing in its people to be future doctors and nurses.
The Farwaniya Hospital will offer health care for the Farwaniya Governorate which has a population of 1.180 million, said His Highness the Prime Minister. (end) jy.ns.bs
