AMMAN — Secretary-General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply Dana Al Zou’bi on Wednesday announced that a development tender for a joint Jordanian-Iraqi economic city will be floated in the first quarter of 2023, Al Mamlaka TV reported.

Zou’bi highlighted the importance of the project for both countries, noting that in the next stage, all details will be announced.

There will be a meeting between a Jordanian and Iraqi delegation in this regard at the Ministry of Industry, she said, adding that during the coming days and before the end of March, all details will be announced.

Jordanian-Iraqi relations are distinguished at all levels, she said, referring to the large number of meetings and mutual visits to Iraq and Jordan that were held in 2022, the latest of which was the joint committee held last month in Baghdad headed by the minister of Industry, Trade and Supply.
