Qatar Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is expected to award the main construction contract for its $67 million Roads and Infrastructure works in Rawdat Egdaim and Ezghawa - Package 01 by the second quarter of 2023.
“The tender for the main construction work was issued on 13 December 2022. The bid submission deadline was on 29 January 2023, which was extended to 26 March and then to 9 April 2023. The contract award is expected by end of second quarter 2023,” a source aware of the project details told Zawya Projects.
The scope of work involves the construction of remaining works of road and infrastructure services in Rawdat Egdaim and Ezghawa.
Hyder Consulting Middle East has been mandated as the design and supervision consultant.
The project is slated for completion by the third quarter of 2025, the source said, adding that his estimate of the project cost is $67 million.
