(TAP) – The Chinese railway equipment manufacturer CRRC, intends to launch new investments in Tunisia, said on Monday, the group's vice president, Xiem Dai, during a meeting with Minister of Industry, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and energy, Slim Feriani.

A representative of the Chinese company based in Tunisia, Globes World took part in this meeting devoted to the examination of the prospects of economic cooperation between Tunisia and China in the field of manufacturing industries and railway infrastructure.

The Minister of Industry highlighted the investment potential available in Tunisia, evoking the evolution of the aeronautical and automotive components sector and investment incentives and government support for the public-private partnership.

The Chinese group, which has already equipped the huge high-speed network in China, was founded in 1948. It employs more than 180 thousand people.
